Lynda Billars, The Lynda B. Advantage/the real estate company, and Cari Linn Fossum, Complete Media, Inc., were the Ambassador Team of the Month for June.

Tammy Beintema, Sioux Falls Business Magazine, was the Diplomat of the Month for June. Second place honors went to Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimist Club, and third place went to Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc. The June Reinvestment Winner was Marshall Selberg, Maximum Promotions, Inc., and the June Ribbon Cutting Attendance Award Winner was Gita Hendricks, B.D. Promotions of Sioux Falls. The Diplomat Team of the Month for June was: Captain Sheila Hoff, Lloyd Companies; Karen Noonan, CarriernetGroup Financial, Inc.; Debra Peterson, CorTrust Bank; Jim Slater, ServiceMaster of Sioux Falls; and Amy O'Connor-Hoback, Kleenrite Company.

NEW FACES & PROMOTIONS

Claritus hired Aaron Beetsch as their Field Service Technician for the Mailing Solutions Division in the Sioux Falls and Sioux City territories. Beetsch is a graduate of Mitchell Technical Institute and has worked in a variety of field service and technical support related positions over the past 15 years. Claritus promoted Michael Teeslink to the Lead Sales Representative for the ID/Access Control Division. Teeslink is a graduate of Southeast Technical Institute and has worked in a variety of sales and security related positions in the past decade.

Beck and Hofer Construction hired Jeff Jackson as Concrete Sales and Production Manager. Jackson has 30 years of concrete experience.

Michelle Ralston recently joined the Perspective design studio as an interior designer. Prior to Perspective, Ralston gained experience in Phoenix at DWL Architects + Planners, Inc. as an Interior Design Intern. She also has experience in luxury residential design and has worked on local, national and international residences. Ralston is a South Dakota State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. She is also an allied member of South Dakota Interior Designers and an allied member of American Society of Interior Designers.

Marco, Inc. hired Joe Cairl as a Managed Print Sales Specialist at its Sioux Falls office.

GOOD DEEDS

With 150 employees and physicians in the Pierre area, Avera Health has contributed $50,000 to the Pierre Employee Relief Fund to help Avera employees affected by ongoing flooding, and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center has contributed $50,000 to the fund with $10,000 going to the Farrar Family First National Bank Flood Relief & Recovery Fund to benefit the community of Pierre. Avera Medical Group Pierre and Avera Medical Group Surgery Pierre have been part of the Avera family since January of 2009, when the practice was purchased by Avera McKennan. AveraHome Medical Equipment of Pierre is also part of the Avera McKennan network.

AWARDS

Marco, Inc. was named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota, based on an employee-based survey project from the Star Tribune. The ranking is based on employee opinions about company leadership, communication, career opportunities, workplace environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits. The analysis included responses from more than 60,500 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations. Marco, Inc. was ranked ninth out of 35 on the medium-sized company list. Marco, Inc. was also named one of the Best Places to Work for 2011 based on an employee-based survey project by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. This is the second consecutive year Marco has received the award. The Business Journal named 55 Best Places to Work for 2011, based on surveys of employees at the respective companies.

The Avera Breast Center at the Avera Cancer Institute received three-year/full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), which is administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. Avera's is one of 260 breast programs accredited nationwide, and the only one in South Dakota.

Marco, Inc. recently earned the designation of Cisco ATP-Cisco TelePresence Video Express Partner in the USA. Marco met the Cisco certified personnel levels required for the designation which helps ensure that they are prepared to properly sell, design, install, and support Cisco's ATP program specific technology and products.

LEADERSHIP

Richard Ambrosius, Positive Aging/Phoenix Associates, has been appointed to the National Advisory Board for Early Bird Alert, Inc. (EBA) ), the company dedicated to improving health and connectivity for seniors and the chronically ill.
