The Ambassador Team of the Month for June includes: Corey Weide, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC-Corey Weide; Lyle Dabbert, Brown & Saenger; Dean Karsky, Farmers Insurance Group/Karsky Agency; Jessica Kerher, Serendipitous Events; Amy O’Connor-Hoback, Kleenrite Company; and Ryan Konz, Service First Federal Credit Union.

Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimists Club, was awarded Diplomat of the Month and the Reinvestment Award honors for June. Second place honors went to Karen Noonan, CarrierNet Group Financial, Inc., and third place honors went to Daren Anderson, Big D Technology Solutions/Big D Online Solutions. Nathan Stallinga, DakotAbilities, was the recipient of the Ribbon Cutting Attendance Award.

The Diplomat Team of the Month for June was: Captain David Johnson, DAKOTACARE; Karen Noonan, CarrierNet Group Financial, Inc.; Deb Peterson, CorTrust Bank; Kristina Wolfe, Travel Leaders/Village Travel; and Mike Larson, Swenson Investments & Commodities.

Julie Nelson, Great Western Bank, was recognized for 20 years of service to the Diplomat Committee. Nancy VanOtterloo, First PREMIER Bank, was recognized for 15 years of service to the Diplomat Committee.

NEW FACES & PROMOTIONS

Kristene Watkins joined Caliber Creative as a graphic designer. She has nearly 15 years experience in the industry and previously worked with two other local advertising agencies in Sioux Falls. Mari Stensgaard was hired by Caliber Creative as an account executive. She previously worked at a video production company in Sioux Falls and interned at Lawrence & Schiller after graduating from Augustana College in May 2011.

Home Federal Bank recently appointed Kurt Johnson as Vice President/Business Intelligence Manager and John Schramm as Vice President/Special Asset Manager.

HONORS IN INDUSTRY

Border States Electric (BSE) selected Charlene Swanson to participate in the company’s management trainee program. She will relocate to the company’s Sioux Falls branch. Swanson joined BSE in 2001 as a pricing associate at the corporate headquarters in Fargo, N.D. Over the 24-month training program, BSE’s management trainees are exposed to all aspects of branch sales and operations through hands-on training and development. In addition, they are given opportunities to enhance their personal leadership skills and manage projects.

The Compass Center recently voted the following as Executive Committee officers: President Jennifer Sherman, The Risse Sherman Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Past President Marty Hagemann, Invisible Fence; Vice President Melissa Johnson, Oh My Cupcakes; Treasurer Karen Waller, Meta Bank; and Secretary Cheryl Kappenman, Wells Fargo. Melissa Williams, CitiTrust, is a new member of the Board of Directors.
