Tom Shields, Great Western Bank, and Kerry Hammel, Hilton Garden Inn, were the Ambassador Team of the Month for December.

Julie Nelson, Great Western Bank, was the Diplomat of the Month for December. Second place went to Duane Noerenberg, Anderson Group CPA, and third place went to David Johnson, DAKOTACARE. The Diplomat Team of the Month for December was: Captain Sheila Hoff, Lloyd Companies; Micki Lundin, Avera Health; Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc.; Debra Peterson, CorTrust Bank; and Jim Slater, ServiceMaster of Sioux Falls. The Reinvestment Award Winner for December was Duane Noerenberg, Anderson Group CPA. The Ribbon Cutting Attendance Award Winner for December was Wendy Bergan, YMCA.

NEW FACES & PROMOTIONS

Brandy Thompson joined Signs Plus+ Graphics as an Account Representative. Previously, Thompson was the Marketing Director for the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank and is a graduate of Colorado Technical University

The Sioux Falls Convention Center, managed by Global Spectrum, hired Elizabeth Colbert, a native of Sioux Falls and graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, as the new Marketing Manager. Previously, she was with Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center. Scott Riesterer, a native of Concordia, Mo, and graduate of Wichita State University, is the new Event Manager. With a degree in Sports Management, Riesterer has experience in event operations and sales and previously worked with the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Kansas City T-Bones.

Jenni Bartmann joined Beck and Hofer Construction as a Controller. Bartmann attended the University of Sioux Falls and graduated with a degree in business”

Shelli Masek joined Hope Haven International Ministries, working with donor and volunteer support. Masek has been in marketing and communications for the past 17 years.

LEADERSHIP

Kenny Anderson, Jr., Sioux Falls City Councilor; Mark Aspaas, Vice President at Architecture Incorporated; and Chrissy Spoo, Marketing Manager at the Empire Mall, joined the Xcel Energy South Dakota Advisory Board for three-year terms.

PARTNERSHIPS

Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center was selected as the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Outreach Partner for 2011-13 for South Dakota. Avera McKennan joins a nationwide network of 55 mental health organizations that disseminate research from NIMH about the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders, and promote public involvement in research studies. Through a $7,500 grant, Avera McKennan’s involvement with the Outreach Partnership Program will be in concert with NAMI South Dakota (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
