Julie Nelson, Great Western Bank, was the Diplomat of the Month for November. Second place went to Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc., and third place went to Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimists Club. The Diplomat Team of the Month for November was: Captain Sheila Hoff, Lloyd Companies; Micki Lundin, Waddell & Reed, Inc.; Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc.; Debra Peterson, CorTrust Bank; and Jim Slater, ServiceMaster of Sioux Falls. The Reinvestment Award Winner for November was Tammy Beintema, MSH Architects (Miller Sellers Heroux). The Ribbon Cutting Attendance Award Winner for November was Sheila Hoff, Lloyd Companies.

AWARDS

Tires, Tires, Tires was named the 2010 top shop winner and the best tire dealer in North America.

Three homes completed in 2010 for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls are “Energy Star” approved, and are the first Habitat homes in Sioux Falls to earn this distinction. To attain this rating, the home had to meet stringent Energy Star requirements in all areas of construction, including measurements of duct leakage, caulking draft areas, ventilation flow, blower door tests, and thermal insulation system effectiveness.

The SESHRM (Sioux Empire Society for Human Resource Management) recently held their prestigious 2010 Professional of the Year Awards. Nominees were submitted in four categories and were judged on community impact, leadership and mentoring, dedication and support with their employers, and professional achievement. The winners include: Emerging Professional of the Year Heidi Bowers, Showplace Wood Products; Human Resource Advocate Teresa Frederick, Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center; Professional of the Year Kristi Johnson, POET; and Senior Professional of the Year Category Gayle Ver Hey, RAS Risk Administration Services.

Wells Fargo Private Bank has named Darin Schaap a wealth specialist.
