presents a plaque to Duane Noerenberg, Anderson Group CPA, to commemorate his 20 years of service to the Chamber's Diplomat Committee.

Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimist Club, and Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc., tied for Diplomat of the Month honors for May. Julie Nelson, Great Western Bank, took second place and Tami Ekrem, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, and Gita Hendricks, Apple Tree Children's, Inc., tied for third place honors for May. The May Diplomat Team of the Month includes: Captain Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimist Club; Mike Teslow, ST Financial Services and Uncle Ed's Specialty Meats, Inc.; Kyle Eberts, Eberts Construction, Inc.; Janel Cole, POSTNET SD 103; and Lori Lewison, Workplace Marketing and Consulting, LLC.

Duane Noerenberg, enrolled agent with Anderson Group CPA, received a plaque to commemorate 20 years of service to the Diplomat Committee of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. The Diplomat Committee maintains membership strength in the Chamber by personally meeting with new Chamber members and continuing an ongoing service relationship the membership. In Noerenberg's 20 years of service, he has attended hundreds of ribbon cuttings, Mixers and meetings.

New Faces/Promotions


Stephanie VanderBruggenas

South Dakota Technology Business Center

The South Dakota Technology Business Center recently hired Stephanie VanderBruggenas as its receptionist and administrative assistant and promoted Pamela Boehm to client services manager. VanderBruggen, most recently with Dakotaland Real Estate, has a wealth of experience ranging from real estate transactions to bookkeeping to managing retail operations. Boehm, whose background includes managing a business school and nearly a decade as a small business owner, will work to create and provide additional business development services for technology entrepreneurs throughout the region. The South Dakota Technology Business Center is an initiative of Forward Sioux Falls.

HenkinSchultz Communication Arts recently added three new employees. Craig Lee joins the broadcast team as Videographer and Producer. He worked most recently at Screaming Eagle Films, where he shot promotional videos for the motorcycle industry, including the official Sturgis Motorcycle Rally DVD. He has more than 10 years of professional experience in TV news, advertising and promotion. Jackie Johnson is a Media Buyer. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead and previously worked for The Occasions Group in North Mankato, Minn., where she provided both advertising and public relations services with a focus on wedding marketing, including national media placement. Mike Hay joins the design team with nearly 10 years of graphic design experience, including positions in Mankato and Sioux Falls. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and Alexandria Technical College.

The Troy Lage Team with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage welcomed new Home Mortgage Consultant Andrew Harr, formerly of Harr-Lemme Real Estate.

ADwërks, an advertising, marketing communications and media strategy agency in Sioux Falls, added two new staff members. Katie Jacobsen is a Secret ADgent, responsible for media buying and planning and copywriting. Jacobsen is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Dakota and is a native of Springfield. Ashley Riibe is Chief Media-ologist. Riibe, a native of Minnesota and graduate of the University of Sioux Falls, will have duties including media buying and account service.

Kristi Leisinger joined the Graham Organization as a Commercial Real Estate Broker Associate. She specializes in commercial real estate sales, leasing and investments. Leisinger's background includes more than 20 years in the small business and healthcare industry including medical device, pharmaceuticals, administration, business development, sales and marketing. She has an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls.

Arlan Van Voorst joined Beck & Hofer Construction as a Project Manager/Estimator. Van Voorst, a South Dakota native, has more than 18 years of commercial construction experience including hospital, restaurant, office and institutional projects. Norman Koehn was promoted to Operations Manager. Koehn has more than 20 years experience in all aspects of residential and commercial construction and renovation. Koehn has been with Beck and Hofer Construction for two years.

RSArchitects welcomed back Jeremy Christopherson, LEED. He provides client-focused architecture with an emphasis on green building design.

Meta Payment Systems announced the following new staff members: Ron Jameson, VP Portfolio Management; Heidi Hall, Inside Sales; Stephanie Torkelson, Operations Analyst; Craig Johnson, Director of Credit Portfolio Management; JenaLee Westra, EFT Processor; Bill Ewing, Customer Relations Manager; Lori Rens, Senior Fraud Analyst; Pooja Pullman, Internal Audit Manager; Dori Sayler, Technical Documentation Specialist; Dawn Hansen, Business Resource Manager; and Erin Hagen, Operations Analyst.

MetaBank announced the following new staff members: Tari Landegant, Customer Service Representative; Bill Halverson, Customer Service Representative; Miranda Metzger, Customer Service Representative; Jennifer Nearman, Deposit Operations Specialist; Amy Ross, Senior Legal Counsel; James Walker, Software Engineer IV; Lynn Weber, Accountant II; Robin Viet, Senior Accountant; and Brian Schumacher, Network Engineer.

Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. announced two new staff members. Eric R. Kerkvliet is based in the Sioux Falls office and focuses on business transactions, real estate, commercial and business litigation. Kerkvliet was most recently an associate attorney for the Eich Law Office in Parker and Hartford and prior to that, a law clerk for the State of South Dakota, First Judicial Circuit in Mitchell. He graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law and receieved his bachelor's degree from Augustana College. Dana Van Beek Palmer is based in the Sioux Falls office and focuses on insurance and employment law. Palmer was most recently with Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, L.L.P. She graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law and received her bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University.

NAI Sioux Falls welcomed three new Broker Associates. Bill Connelly brings more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and management to NAI Sioux Falls. Bryan Mulder joined NAI Sioux Falls with 15-plus years in sales, franchising, consulting and training in the Midwest. Mulder has dealt with retail business site selection, consulting with owners/managers on project cost analysis as well as operational cost control of businesses. Rachel Malloy rejoined the staff at NAI Sioux Falls. Malloy has three years of experience working in a mergers and acquisitions office and more than six years of experience in the commercial real estate market.

Awards

The Sioux Falls Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center has awarded local Awards for Excellence in Nursing to: Teresa Tchida, Nursing Assistant; Lisa Mathis, Licensed Practical Nurse; Robyn Weber, Licensed Registered Nurse; and Janell Christenson, Suicide Prevention Coordinator. These team members exemplify doing the right thing and making a difference every day in the lives of the veterans served at the Sioux Falls VAMC.

Good Deeds

Sales and Marketing Executives, Inc. of Sioux Falls (SME) gave more than $23,000 to Youth Business Adventure. The funds were raised through the SME annual youth benefit auction, South Dakota's Magical Evening. Since 2002, SME has raised more than $144,000 for YBA.
