The Ambassador Team of the Month for June includes: Corey Weide, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC-Corey Weide; Lyle Dabbert, Brown & Saenger; Dean Karsky, Farmers Insurance Group/Karsky Agency; Jessica Kerher, Serendipitous Events; Amy O’Connor-Hoback, Kleenrite Company; and Ryan Konz, Service First Federal Credit Union.

Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimists Club, was awarded Diplomat of the Month honors for May. Second place honors went to Karen Noonan, CarrierNet Group Financial, Inc., and third place honors went to Daren Anderson, Big D Technology Solutions/Big D Online Solutions. David Johnson, DAKOTACARE, was the recipient of the Ribbon Cutting Attendance Award, and the Reinvestment Award went to Debra Peterson, CorTrust Bank.

The Diplomat Team of the Month for May was: Captain Bill Rezac, Boen & Associates; Inc.; Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimists Club; Nathan Stallinga, DakotAbilities; Marla Reynolds, Central States Insurance, L.L.C.; and Justin Point, Pizza Ranch of East Sioux Falls.

NEW FACES & PROMOTIONS

Monique Lupkes joined the ADwërks crew as its Air and Space Engineer. Lupkes received her degree in public relations from the University of Minnesota and brings more than four years of media buying experience to ADwërks.

Micah Luke is the Creative Director at Complete Media. Luke has bachelor’s degrees in Studio Arts and Speech Communication. He has worked with a broad variety of artistic mediums and is creatively set to handle a vast range of marketing projects. Catheryn Vogel joined the team at Complete Media. She has a bachelor’s degree in English for New Media from Dakota State University.

Josh Gassen joined Holmes Murphy & Associates as an account executive. A graduate of the University of South Dakota, Gassen holds years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance.

Brienne Lineweber, DDS, is the newest staff member Family Dental Center of Sioux Falls. Lineweber is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and a former extern at Family Dental Center. She will be one of five dentists providing services at the center.

Kerri DeGraff joined Feeding South Dakota as the Development Director for the state-wide hunger-relief organization. Previously, DeGraff was the Community Impact Director at the Sioux Empire United Way.

Barbie Dickson is the New Events Consultant with Chef Jeni & Company.

Marco hired Jeffrey Douglas as Network Copier Installer/Trainer.

StarMark Cabinetry added several professionals to their Sioux Falls company headquarters: Dorin Dirkson as finance analyst and cost accountant; Shayna Mitchell as a cabinetry designer; Alesha Hanson as a cabinetry designer; Tessica Grant in customer service, transitioning to cabinetry designer; and Paul Bakken as manufacturing engineer. StarMark Cabinetry recently promoted the following: Brian Smith to division controller; and Brenda Cramer to customer service from production control. StarMark Custom Cabinetry & Furniture recently hired the following: Brooke Langdon joined the showroom staff as an interior designer and cabinetry expert. She has been with StarMark Cabinetry for eight years and earned her Interior Design degree from South Dakota State University. Interior designer and cabinetry expert Heather Riediger earned Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) accreditation from the National Kitchen & Bath Association. She has been with StarMark Cabinetry for eight years and earned her Interior Design degree from South Dakota State University.

Sioux Falls partner Kevin Doyle was elected to the Eide Bailly LLP board of directors, voted on by the partners. Doyle has more than 30 years public accounting experience, with expertise in the areas of audit, corporate and cooperative taxation, forecasts and projections, mergers and acquisitions and depreciation studies. He specializes in serving utility and telecommunication companies.

HONORS IN INDUSTRY

Neopost USA named Claritus its 2011 National Dealer of the Year. More than 120 independent dealers nationwide compete for the award, which is judged on a number of criteria including overall growth and performance. This is the second time in three years that Claritus has been awarded Neopost’s National Dealer of the Year award.

Marco, Inc. received two awards from HTG Peer Groups at its annual conference. Marco won the Top Revenue Award for their business model and Marco CIO Steve Knutson, won the Group Member of the Year Award for the large dealer group.

AWARDS

Staybridge Suites received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award. To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

LEADERSHIP

Karla Johnson, Director of Childcare Services for YWCA Sioux Falls, was elected to a three-year-term on the National Afterschool Association Board of Directors

G. Richard Ambrosius, Principal at Positive Aging, was appointed to the National Board of Directors of Senior Veterans, Inc. The organization assists veterans and surviving spouses obtain non service connected disability pensions to help pay for long term care expenses.

Ritch Noble, McKinney Olson Insurance, was elected as president to the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire.
