The quality public and private post-secondary institutions in Sioux Falls offer a variety of learning opportunities for both traditional and non-traditional students. There are several degree options, from certificates and degree completion programs to PhDs. Local institutions work with the business community to provide a highly-skilled and well-trained workforce based on the needs of the business community. Having educational opportunities available here enables people to expand their training or try a new career.

Often people who earn degrees in Sioux Falls choose to stay here after completing their education. There are 45,000 college students within 150 miles of Sioux Falls. Consistent growth of 2,500 new residents per year means a steady supply of new employees. In fact, the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area (Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner and McCook counties) captures more than 90 percent of the population growth in the entire state. ...Read Full Story

A healthy community improves the quality of life. There are a number of ways to define being healthy, from being active to acquiring knowledge. Having the opportunity to do both is something that Sioux Falls has in spades.
