NEW FACES & PROMOTIONS

The Credit Collections Bureau recognized three staff members from the Sioux Falls office: Tonya Pearl was named to the Quarter Million Dollar Club, George Feleke was named to the Half Million Dollar Club and Shane Gold was named to the Multi-Million Dollar Club.

Family Dental Center of Sioux Falls welcomed Lee Gertsen, DDS. Gertsen graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and previously worked at a practice in Canton.

LifeLight Communications, Inc. welcomed two new employees to the ministry staff: Kristie Brunick as the Volunteer Development Associate and Brianne Cowan as Receptionist.

HONORS & AWARDS

The Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) hosted the 2014 Visitor Industry Luncheon, featuring guest speaker Captain Mark Kelly, and also honored several people in the visitor industry. Congratulations to the 2014 winners: Business: Scheels All Sports; Media: Results Radio/Townsquare Media; First Impressions: Tracy Kolb, General Manager of Hampton Inn; and Heart of the City: Dan Radigan, owner Dairy Queen/Orange Julius in the Empire Mall. Two special awards were presented to retiring city council members Jim Entenman and Sue Aguilar. An award was also presented to CVB registration staff Carol Nugteren, who is retiring after 35 years of service.

Brown & Saenger was awarded with the 2013 Top Growth Award at the NeXus 2014 joint TriMega and INTEC show. Brown & Saenger was recognized for the greatest dollar growth (2013 versus 2012). Family Visitation Center of Sioux Falls honored former Minnehaha County State's Attorney Dave Nelson as the recipient of the 2014 Family First Award. The annual Family First Award recognizes a member of the legal community for outstanding dedication and commitment to protecting childhood in the Sioux Empire. Nelson was the Minnehaha County State's Attorney from 1988-2008 and also served on Family Visitation Center's initial advisory board from 2004-06.

Cisco named Marco, Inc. as their 2013 Central Area Small to Medium Business Partner of the Year. The award was presented to Marco for taking a leadership position in implementing unified communications and cloud networking systems amongst other Cisco technologies. Cisco recognized Marco for creating custom processes designed to help scale resources, extend sales reach and contribute to their growth.

Bartlett & West was named one of the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by Engineering News-Record (ENR). Each year ENR ranks U.S. engineering, architecture and contracting firms based on the previous year's revenue dollar volume, and historically Bartlett & West has been included in the closely-watched list. This year's ENR rankings recognize Bartlett & West as the 176th largest firm in the country, a 30-spot improvement from last year's ranking and a continuation of the company's five-year climb on the list.

LEADERSHIP

Lyle Dabbert, Brown & Saenger, was re-elected to a three-year term as a TriMega Board Member. Dabbert was also appointed as the new Vice Chair of TriMega. TriMega Purchasing Association is a not-for-profit member owned co-operative focused on the success of our independent dealer members.
Michael J. Frankman, DDS, Falls Dental Centre, was re-elected to serve on the South Dakota Dental Association Board of Trustees.
